Really? As long as everyone is at 31 (and a quarter!) bauds, who
cares? Yes it's slow compared to the full 45.45 bauds of regular
amateur RTTY but ... so? As you note, though, if you're really
annoyed you can use a faster speed. Of course, that basically forces
everyone (that wants to be competitive) to the faster speed.
People find weird things to complain about! :-)
