I personally disagree, and dont understand this frustration.
We were not going to go to KP2; we had to cancel our plans for Honduras just
three weeks ago.
But tickets were purchased already and vacation was approved, so we started
to look for some place to QRV, we had just four weeks before the Contest. We
were lucky to find nice place in St. Croix island.
I am really disappointed to read this email, honestly do not understand.
Never heard such complaints for my 30 years of Ham Radio career.
This is my understanding - Even if several stations are working from the
same DXCC Country in one Contest, this only means - Competition, that means
- Higher results. If you run 100 meters by yourself, then you will not be
that fast. If you are running in a company - your result always will be
higher, unless you are afraid to compete. This is my Point of view.
I remember last year, I beleive in CQ WW Contest - three stations from Aruba
were operating in the same Contest, in the same Category, so what; and all
three stations were in top Ten if not higher, there were all lucky, at least
I did not read complaints like this...
So, let's compete! (And let's grow up)
BTW, we are in different categories, we are going to be in Multy - Single;
however now I am considering to ask my friends to allow me to paly in Single
Operator Category, just to compete and win, or lose, who knows :).
Good luck to all in CQ WW DX RTTY Contest!
Our logs will be uploaded every night into LoTW before the Contest; Contest
Log will be uploaded right after the Contest. For colour paper QSL's please
send cards via W3HNK.
