SD normally defaults to all your initial settings.
When restarting a file, it's easier to use Ctrl-Enter
instead of tabbing through all the original answers
(that option is shown on the screen - it's just the
same as it always was for DOS).

You change your current logging mode with SSB and CW,
or just S and C. For previously logged QSOs, go to
them with Up-Arrow as if you were going to edit them,
the use F3 (with Caps Lock Off) to change the logged
mode.
If you get rig control enabled, you'll not have to
worry about this again.

Yes, that's what it does.

I haven't seen this happen before. Anyway, Ctrl-Enter
is safer.
