The CW leg of the Spring EU Sprint takes place from 16:00 UTC to
19:59 UTC on Saturday 8th April. NOTE: The times have changed for
2006.

Rules at www.eusprint.com

SD supports this contest. V12.16 runs on any Windows PC and is
free from www.ei5di.com/sd/sdsetup.exe.

SD Setup:
---------
Select SD's "EU Sprint" template.
Enter the Mode as CW, and your Name for the exchange.
---------

EU entrants work everyone.
DX entrants work EU only.

Exchange Serial & Name & both callsigns - see ESM below.

SD lets you enter Serial and Name in a single field. For example:
2FRED will be logged as 002 FRED.

If you load a .LST callsign/name file with the LOAD command, SD
autofills the Name on a callsign match. If it's not right,
just overtype with the correct name. Names are also autofilled
when you've already logged that station on another band.

SD now gives full support for ESM (Enter Sends Message) in the
Sprint - in both Run & S&P modes. The correct exchange, depending
on the mode, is hard-coded so that you don't need to change the
F2 memory. ESM is fun - please try it!

The mode Run/S&P is displayed at all times, together with what the
next Enter will send. If it's not appropriate, or you get into
trouble, just switch ESM Off with Apostrophe. SD toggles the mode
after each QSO. If necessary, you can change it back with Grave
Accent (above Tab).

After the contest, use SDCHECK to create your .LOG file. Rename
it as YOURCALL.LOG and email it, as an attached file, to
eusprint@kkn.net (within 15 days).

73,
Paul EI5DI
