The statdard size limit on posts to contesting mailing
lists is there for good reason. Also, it's better to
send queries about the workings of the list directly to
me rather than to the list.
Using microHAM units with contest loggers may introduce
complexity. This is because microHAM intercepts and
discards many control commands from the logging
software - this applies to all loggers, not just SD.
Here's what I say in SD's manual.
microHAM Notice: Although many microHAM devices have
an internal WinKey chip, their router software ignores
(discards) many standard WinKey control commands.
Instead, you must set these parameters separately
using the router Control Panel. WinKey units supplied
by K1EL do not have this problem, and no separate router
or driver is required.
If you use a microHAM device and have a keying problem,
I may not be able to help.
In general, you should first define any necessary ports
and parameters with microHAM's software, then set the same
parameters on SD. SD's WINKEY command toggles between
internal and external (via WinKey or microHAM) keying.
