This is an interesting new event. It is 80m CW-Only
and runs from 1800z Saturday 8th to 0759z Sunday 9th
March - that's 14 hours, but there is also an 8-hour,
"limited time" option.
What's new is that 4-character locators are exchanged,
and scores are based solely on the distance (1 pt/km)
for each QSO.
Rules at
http://www.radiosport.org.rs/HFTeslaMemorial/index.php/rules
SD V17.29 is free from www.ei5di.com
Select the "Tesla Memorial" option, and
enter your own 4-character locator.
Work everyone on 80m CW - there are no mults.
Exchange serial and 4-character locator. SD lets you
log these as a single field. For example, 6IO63 will
be logged as 006 and IO63 in the respective fields.
Use SDCHECK to create your Cabrillo log, and upload it at
http://www.radiosport.org.rs/HFTeslaMemorial/index.php/log-submitting-service
Please mention SD in your soapbox comments.
I'll be spending some time in this contest myself.
Hope to see you there.
73,
Paul EI5DI
