The 26th IOTA contest takes place this weekend, for 24 hours from
1200 UTC on Saturday 28 July.
Rules at http://www.rsgbcc.org/hf/rules/2018/riota.shtml
SD V20.06, from www.ei5di.com/sd/sdsetup.exe has an updated IOTA.LST
call history file, including announced island operations for 2018. The
country/island reference file SDIOTA.CTY is also updated. SD pre-fills
the island reference on a callsign match.
Note: Try a test log first - if you find that your version of
SD does not expand EU5 to EU005 when logged, you'll need V20.06.
Some SD logging tips for IOTA :-
As you enter calls, SD pre-fills the continent (EU, NA etc) in the
IOTA Reference field - you never need to type it. If the station
you're working does not give an island reference, press Enter to
log the QSO. There's no need to delete the "unwanted" continent,
it will not be logged.
To check the multiplier status of a specific island on the
current band and mode, type its reference in the callsign field
- redundant zeros are not required. For example, type EU1 -
and your multiplier status for EU001 (Dodecanese) on all bands
and both modes, appears below. No other contest logger does this.
Add 2 to see your status for Shetlands EU012, and add 3 for Scottish
Coastal Islands EU123.
Multiplier slots needed are are highlighted. Use Esc or Minus to
clear the IOTA reference and multiplier analysis.
SD is unique in displaying all possible island references, if any,
while calls or prefixes are still being typed - with no need to leave
the callsign field. Highlighted island references are mults.
