This was a good contest this year, much better than I expected. Band
conditions to Europe was good into certain areas. I had to work Sunday so
called it quits before midnight on Saturday, but was able to get on at
sunrise Sunday morning for an hour or so. I never heard any JA's Sunday
morning and completely missed Saturday morning. Friday night was a blast,
working several Europeans so I stayed up to 3 AM, really felt crummy the next
day. I think all total, I operated about 15 hours. The best DX was probably
TA3D. I worked all the states, except North Dakota.
The station worked well, except for an occasional sticking antenna relay in
the amp. Spent most of the time CQ'n above 1850, with only a few problems the
second evening with phone stations and some wrabbler drifting up and down the
band. Finally got a hole about 1841 and things started to pick up. Finished
up with 866 QSO's, 57 Mults, and 32 Countries, for 229,264 points, SOHP. I am
sending in the score for the SEDXC, right?
Below is the number of stations I worked per state. That's bad when you make
more contacts in Washington State than in your own state.
