40 was dead for Sherman and all of us after midnight because of long
skip. Only the west coast and maybe northern Canada and the Caribbean
were far enough away to be worked on 40 at that time. Likewise, 20 M
went long early both days and died early both days. There was almost no
short skip on 15 and almost no skip at all on 10 M. 10 M had been open
to the west coast before the contest, but it was open only to deep South
America when the contest started. There was an opening to the west
coast and the Caribbean on 10 M on Sunday, but there was no rate there.
73,
John, K4BAI.
