I remember my first contest.  It was called the Novice Roundup.  It went
for TWO WEEKS.  And I made 11 contacts.  And didn't even get a piece of
paper for all that work... hi.

1.  You get better as you keep at it.
2.  Seek and follow advice from the serious contesters in the SECC.
3.  You must be able to computer log.  No arguement.
4.  You will have RFI into and out of your puter.  Its the nature of the
beast.  Get a handful of
     ferrit beads and get ready to re-arrange wires.  Oh and BTW,  it
varies with each band.
5.  NEVER GIVE UP,  NEVER.
