[SECC] Question about band change limits for GQP

Subject: [SECC] Question about band change limits for GQP

Hi Tad...
We don't have any rules on times on band changes.
As long as you do not simultaneously operate (Transmit) both radios, You can be
single op (SO).
IF you operate both rigs at the same time, you would be Multistation-SingleOP
(MS).
This mean that QSOs on one radio must be complete, or not transmitting at the
same time as QSOs on the other.

We do not have an SO2R class, just SO.

Our rules do not go as far as other "contests" so we tend to be a bit loose in
these areas.
I do not have deep experience in these set-ups.
If anyone on the reflector has input here, please comment.

Thanks, Tad,
Mike, NE4S

Subject: [SECC] Question about band change limits for GQP

There is a possibility I may be using two rigs for the GQP from Seminole
County. I'll set my FT-847 up for CW/RTTY and the FT-2000 for SSB. (the
FT-847 doesn't have VOX).
Anyway, I was considering running SO2R and for instance call CQ on CW on 15
using the FT-847 while Search-&-Pouncing on SSB on 20 meters on the FT2000.
My question is are there time limits on band changes? Is SO2R OK for the GQP?
I may not venture there but I thought I'd ask just in case.

Thanks, 73, Tad, WF4W
