For any of you who may think there aren't enough contests, here is a new
contest announcment. This will be similar to what Ohio parks contest
has been doing for several years. Or is this possibly an April fool
joke? 73, John, K4BAI.
Contest Announcement
>From the folks who bring you the Texas QSO Party, the Northwest Amateur
radio Society of Houston, comes a new
contest - the Texas State Parks On The Air (TSPOTA) contest the first full
weekend in April, 2013.
TSPOTA gives Texas Hams an opportunity to get ready for the ARRL Field Day
exercise, get outdoors after a long winter,
and have some radio fun while enjoying the beauty of the Texas State Parks.

the 99 Texas State Parks on the approved parks list will give the 4 letter
designator and RST. Texas Hams not

other Hams will give RST and their
State/Province or DX as their designator. Full rules and a list of parks as
well as list of operations that
plan to be active can be found at the official website,http://tspota.com .
