I forgot to include two operating events (or is that four?) for next
Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tuesday night, North American QRP CW Club February Straight Key/Bug
Sprint. 20, 40 80M CW. 5W maximum power. 0130-0330Z Wednesday UTC.
Exchange: RST + SPC + NAQCC# or power. Double score for use of
straight key and 1 1/2 times score for use of a bug. This is a real
popular contest and a lot of fun for two hours. Start on 20 around
14060. If 20 is dead or when you run out of stations to work, go to 40
around 7040. If not enough activity or too much QRM try around 7030.
Then finish up around 3560 kHz.
Wednesday. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Three one hour mini tests. 13Z,
19Z, and 03Z (Thursday UTC). Exchange: Name + CWOps# or SPC. 160-10M
CW. Start the morning session on the lowest band and work up. Start the
last session on the highest band and work down. Look around 028 kHz on
each band and around 1815 kHz on 160M. Operating in these is a good way
to get invited to join the CWOps Club. Just send your State instead of
a CWOps member number.
73, John, K4BAI.
