Ralph, K1ZZI and I just returned from Birmingham to see Darrell, K9MUG in UAB
Hospital there. Darrell is still sedated, but we witnessed him moving his
lower extremities. The doctors feel that they have adequately addressed his
orthopedic issues and the family is now awaiting results from a CT Scan to see
how much, if any brain damage exists from his fall.
It took 12 to 14 stitches to close up the wound from his fall in the back of
Darrell?s head and it is extremely swollen. He is still on the ventilator, but
he is breathing at a level above the ventilator and they hope to start weaning
him off it. He is in ICU on the 9th floor of the hospital, Room 9505.
