Hi Tree..
I am getting back in operation after a total wipeout from a lightning
strike...
New Omni VI +... New RS232 data cable wired per their manual for dB9 to dB25
4800 baud
New Packard Bell Pentium 233mhz ( I know, I know, but it was cheap)
CW keying via LPT1
CW paddles on the rig, not the port
Ver 6.01 of TRLOG
Win95, Dos7 mode (not from a window, although it does run in a window, if a
bit more erratic)
The usual stuff works - cw keying - logging - dupes check, etc... flawlessly
And over the data cable
It does report the vfo frequency,
I can set the frequency via alt-n or the - key...
Now the problems:
1. When I turn the vfo dial just a bit the displayed mode of CW changes to
NONSSB for a second or so, but not every time... When I make large frequency
excursions this occurs much less often...
2. I cannot tune up and down band in S&P with the shift keys - or any other
key that I can find - though I have caused some interesting crashes trying the
keys sequentially.... Using vfo A ( as I write this I realize I did not try
vfo B)
3. When I log a contact or do other tasks the displayed frequency disappears
and doesn't come back until I change the vfo frequency manually, or from the
keyboard...
4. 2400 and 4800 baud works, but 9600 does not... ?!?
What am I doing wrong?
Cordially ... Denny
