Guys, another really simple solution is to disembowel an old mouse. (
the computer kind ) Take it apart and remove all the junk, And then
wire it so it will short each of the buttons to ground when one is
pushed. If you have need of another application such as a momentary
toggle, use the other buttons for that. You can also put a small relay
from
RS in the mouse so that when, for example, the left button is
depressed, it energizes the relay and causes a lock down. Then it's a
simple matter to use one of the other
buttons to interrupt the voltage to the relay, which will then open,
and we're back to square one.
