LPT1 and LPT2 are the PARALLEL ports. COM1, COM2, etc. are the SERIAL
ports. Band data is available only on the LPT parallel ports. Band data is
not available on the serial COM ports, except indirectly if you have special
hardware/software to eavesdrop on the command flow of frequency data between
the PC and rig on the serial rig control connection.
