Also, both 6.96 and 7.00 read the radio (Orion) less frequently
than does 6.78 - same logcfg.dat file used for all programs.
That may be a "clew" about the behavior - 6.96 and 7.00
seem to wait an eternity (i.e., at least a second (!)) to update
frequency changes from the radio's tuning knob.

Using TR700 here.
I can't get it to crash with either one or two radios on/off and using
ALR-R.
Also using ALT-V/ALT-B to change the band on either radio works as it
should. No delay waiting for freqs from radio.
Using Windoz 98, no GUI and DOS.

Subject: [Trlog] TR700 crashing problem
I installed TR7.00 in MSDOS 6.22
I've had two problems.
1) with just one radio on, typing ALT-R to go to second radio (habit)
crashes TR - get Runtime error 216 at 001A:0EAD
2) toggling band change with ALT-V / ALT-B does change band
BUT the LPT has a glitch: LPT (as indicated by TopTen Band Decoders)
immeditely but momentarily changes to new band, then goes back to
previous band UNTIL TR updates frequency read to/from the rig (about
one second), then the LPT data shows correctly the new band.
The rig also takes about one second to react to the band change initiated
by ALT-V / ALT-B. But, the band data glitch is at the computer LPT
outputs.
