I remember a post about a year ago discussing the need for pull-up
resistors on the interface in the 1995,1996 ARRL handbook to resolve
the exact problem. As I am about to start construction of this as soon as
the PCBs show up, I will have to dig this information out as well. If
anyone knows of what I am mentioning, please post something here. I
think the original post had to do with a Yaesu radio, but there was a
blurb about a 751 as well.
