The last time I sent my Omni 6 in to Ten Tec, I was told by the service
manage that in-warranty units were worked on immediately. However
non-warranty units would take a minimum of four to six weeks before they
could even be looked at by the techs. I'm not sure this is a new unannounced
Ten Tec policy, but several hams have been told the same thing by the
service manager.

I had to send my Jupiter in for service as smoke was coming out of the unit.

Probably the tuning circuit. The turn around time is about 4 weeks. I know
TenTec has great serviced but 4 weeks seems a bit long.
