Aloha,

Fed Ex Ground works. By truck from your QTH to the Pacific Coast,
then air to Hawaii.. Time elapsed, around 10 days total with a week
end included.

Or, just use Ocean freight service. You are responsible for packing/wx
and water protection of the rig. But your package will be in a "container"
on board a truck to the West Coast, then into a container an onboard
a Matson or other vessel for Honolulu. Then a bit of a delay there while
the container is opened, contents sorted, and the rig either announced for
pick up at the port in Honolulu, or delivered IF you make arrangements
for that when shipping. If the rig is bound for one of the neighbor or
"outer" islands, then there are a few more days delay in port in Honolulu
while the rig is placed in the container destined for the particular island,
then off by either Young Brothers or Matson barge which is just an
overnight trip. You will get a phone call from Matson or YB announcing
the arrival at your local port, come on down and pick up the package.

I sent my rig to the mainland for repair recently using the Fed Ex ground
service; dramatically lower in cost that even their Economy Service,
which is two or three days, I believe.

Good luck and 73,
