Hi!
    I got my Argonaut a couple of weeks ago and am every bit as happy as
John and Ronald mentioned it the previous posts on this subject.  I have not
used mine for CW yet.  I have had excellent results, however, on USB.  I
have the rig connected to a Cushcraft MA5V up about 20'.  I was able to make
DX contacts to Australia and the Czech republic with only a little more
"effort" than I was used to with my Jupiter.  (Got decent reports too!)
This is my first experience with a QRP rig and it has been great!  I agree
about the quietness of the receiver and the effectiveness of the filtering
and adjustable passband.
    I traded my Jupiter in towards an Orion.  At first, before I got the
Argonaut, I had second thoughts about that decision.  NOW, however, I have
no such thoughts OR regrets.  I have found the Argonaut to be very enjoyable
to use - even for SWLing.
    Oh - about the RF gain control. (or the lack thereof) I rarely used the
RF gain on my Jupiter and really do not miss having one on the Argo.  If
something really needs to be "dealt with" - there IS the attenuator.
    Bottom line:  Fantastic Rig!   73,  Bill
