[TenTec] Orion II RX equalizers?

Are the receive equalizer adjustments supposed to work in the AM mode on
the Orion II?   I can not detect any difference in the receive audio on
either the main or sub receivers when adjusting the SUBEQ or the RX EQ
while in the AM mode.  They appear to work fine in the SSB and CW modes.
I didn't see anything in the manual regarding that.
