I'm surprised no one has suggested what is perhaps the easiest way of all to
silence that relay. Simply pull the plastic case off of the relay and insert
a piece of thin cardboard between the contacts. No more clacking! With this
method you don't have to modify the rig and it's easy to reverse should the
need ever arise.
