I just picked up a RigBlaster Plus for use with my Pegasus and Omni V. I
really like the combination, but I noticed something strange:
Without the RigBlaster, I use the same 705 mic with both radios and adjust
the mic gain for proper ALC indication. I then connected the RigBlaster and
went into TUNE mode (generates a sample tone) from my PSK software and
adjusted the audio output on the computer and the pot on the RigBlaster for
proper ALC. I found that the Pegasus took a lot lower level. On the Omni V,
I ran with the RigBlaster pot and max level and on the Peg, probably only
15 - 25%. I would have thought that since the mic levels were similar the
computer levels should be also. Or does this mean that I really don't have
my mic gain levels the same? I do find it extremely difficult to adjust the
Pegasus.
