I agree with you, Steve. I was at the Dalton, GA hamfest last Saturday and
saw the same thing. I bought a really good Triton IV about 6 years ago from
a ham dealer for $225. I bought another a few years ago, with low receiver
volume, for only $100. The problem turned out to be just a loose crystal
filter.
I can't believe these people who haul their rigs to a hamfest, asking such
high prices, knowing nobody's going to pay it. I sold several Ten-Tecs at a
hamfest last year, well below the market, I'm sure. But I went there to sell
and I didn't have to lug them home again!!
