While reading the long list of suggested do's and do not's, in bringing the
Orion to market
(many of which are conflicting), I'm reminded of Aesop's fable, "The Man,
The Boy, and The Donkey".
It is brief and to the point, and may be read here:
http://www.pacificnet.net/~johnr/cgi/aesop1.cgi?srch&fabl/TheMantheBoyandthe
Donkey . Offered as subtle/dry humor only. No other meaning intended.
The internet - what a wonderful thing .... instantaneous feed-back from
around the globe on suggestions
for the new product, the importance of many which might otherwise escape the
TT folks in a snail-mail
only world. While as individuals we might think we know what others REALLY
need/want, perception
is reality in the eyes of the beholder. This thread is an excellent method
to capture perceptions.
For those who think appearance isn't all that important, just beat-up,
scratch-up and breathe smoke on
whatever equipment you have. Then at resale time, check the difference in
value between yours and
someone else's which is being resold in near-original condition.
One last thought, ORION - a neat name. Seems fitting. On the other
hand, giving the name Jupiter to
the current (somewhat small) rig, is akin to naming your Chihuahua "Spike".
Saving my pennies for the big "O".........
