As to CW being a dead mode, my take on the subject is that those that say
it's dead are most likely those that died trying to operate SSB. If they
were alive and explored the CW bands they would find that it's alive and
well.

Gee, I just discovered a new breed and a new mode called AM. Actually it's
not new to me. I operated AM when I got my General in 1960. To that end
today, I run a full bandwidth AM rig...........formerly a broadcast
transmitter with limited audio bandwidth to be legal.

That's why I've been a ham since 1958........errr, if my mind is clear
that's 44 years.
