Yes, mine came in a padded mailer as well, shipped from the states.
No instructions, nothing.
I guess it's the luck of the draw.

I'll have to try them on another radio and see how they do there.
Otherwise they were a 1-day headset.
Actually my Sennheiser 414 were cheaper.
I paid about 120 deutsch mark for them over 40 years ago.
I've used them for thousands of hours!

I'd speculate these are from different manufactures and likely there is
little to no quality control. They didn't even come in a box or even a
plastic bag and no paperwork, specifications, instructions or such. They
were just placed in a padded mailer.
