I will install the spark gaps next to an 8' ground rod next to the house
entrance...will leave the bleeder resistors in place and will probably
install also a knife switch to dump the feeders directly to the ground rod.
Now another thread....I plan on replacing my feeders from the house entrance
with new homebrew feeders, since my existing is several wires spliced
together.....I have on hand no 14 and no 16 copperclad single strand wire
and stranded no 14 450 ohm commercial windowed line.
Current plans are to cut the webbing out of the 450 ohm windowed line and
use either grey small diameter pvc pipe or fiberglass electrical fence posts
for spreaders
The windowed line I can cut and assemble as I raise the antenna's
feedpoint...
Feeders from house entrance to station will remain 450 ohm line...
What are you guys using?
