Lightning energy spectra goes to 100 kHz which implies basic 10 usec pulse slightly streched by 15 kHz first IF filter. Repetitive nature interference is more annoying for human brain. Duty cycle of fence sparks is very low. USA OTHR had better spectrum spreading and caused less QRM.
