I've got a problem with 40M changing freq. suddenly downward slowly tuning
itself then silence. If I leave it alone itll pop back to life
then do it all again in a while. It would stop after two times and operate
normally then. But today when it went off the second time it stayed off. If
I change bands, they all work normally, except 40M.
Is it the crystal?
At the same time, I have the 30M band warbling every 5 seconds both on recv
and xmit. I was told that this was the sign of a bad xtal. This has been
going on for some time only when on 30M.
Today just after turning it on and tuning 20M, I went to tune the main
tuning and it would not tune upward, it tuned downward normally, but not the
other way. I used the keypad to return to the top of the band and then tuned
downward. After the second time doing this, the tuning knob returned to
normal both ways.
This made me think that i may have a control board issue. Anyone experience
