Vibroplex has changed hands at least a couple of times in the last 15-20
years, and I know they've moved at least once. So, it's easy enough to
conclude that the "Vibroplex of old" is indeed long gone.
While I haven't seen any of the new keys, I do know this: A friend borrowed
my Brass Racer (which I've owned for about 10-12 years) until he could get a
key of his own. He bought a new one, returned it within 10 days, saying it
just wasn't the same (but not going into more specifics), and ended up with
a Bencher.

"Certainly! You take the blonde, and I'll take the one in the turban!"

Not surprising to me. I bought a new Vibroplex Blue Racer
2000 in early 2001 and it was a mess. Tool marks, chrome
imperfections, poorly aligned contacts.... I sent it back.
I think the Vibroplex or old is no more.
