Interesting....I plugged my stereo headphones into my Omni VI+
and heard audio in both ears. If it was a mono jack, I would
only hear one headphone.
Plugging a mono or stereo headphone set in should give the same
indication: audio in both ears.
Check the radio schematic (in my book it's between page 4-53 and
5-1) and you should see that the phone jack is a stereo phone
jack with make/break contacts for diverting the audio to the
speaker when a plug is not in the jack.
