Mine had a pushbutton on the front for aux rx antenna. I tried that and
tried connecting a antenna to the rca jack for the aux antenna with no
results. This has been such a great radio that i could always hear weak
stations better than any other rig I ever owned. I will have to operate my
TS-B2000 in the mean time and it never received as well as the ten tec. I
use it for 2 meters and am on hf. I used to use it for general coverage rs
which the omni does not do but since I bought a good HQ-180 I use it for
general coverage.
I wonder if this would be a good time to trade up to an Orion? Will the
Orion do AM? Does it have a general coverage rx? Will my 705 mic work on
the orion? Thanks, WB5OXQ
