Toby,
In the old versions, although the S meter still operated from S0, with the
RF gain was reduced, the S meter dropped in value and was always wrong for
all signals. With the new RF gain S meter interaction, the S meter is
always correct if the signal is above the RF gain setting. If the signal is
below the RF gain setting, it would be in the noise assuming you had
adjusted RF gain for the point where the noise was just present.
