Rick,
I think it must be the monitor circuit in the rig itself as Barry pointed
out.We are using exactly the same rig, and headset, and mine works fine. The
slight hum I have occurs when either a) listening to a dead quiet band, or
b) the tone control gain is set past 12 o'clock.
