I remember those things Wade. Used to work on car radios back in the day.
Change a vibrator, buffer cap
and the 0Z4 and usually you were in business. I never thought of using one to
jolt Phidaux tho. I used an
old sign transformer with the garbage can setting on 4 inverted cola bottles.

*If caught today? They would probably
have a special jack to raise the jail
and place me under it! As a young man. ( many, many and many
more years ago
) The neighbors dog just loved to turn over our garbage
cans. I rigged up a
car radio vibrator ( anybody remember those? ) and a car
ignition coil
through a 10 ohm wire wound resistor. Attached the output of
the coil to
the garbage can..... On the first night out, at about 10:00
PM we heard the
most awful noise a dog could make. From that time until the
day we moved,
Fido would not even come into our yard. Who says you can't
teach an old dog
new tricks. Would I do that now? NO! We have gotten OLD,
Softhearted and
Afraid that the SPCA, Obama, Hillary and the Whole US
Government would
find a way to make a Federal Case out of it!*
