yes, regularly. if hooked up properly it reads my radio. also MixW2 is
running. MixW2 sends info to LOGic8 fine, but because i have LOGic set
to read the radio directly the frequency is not correct. i normally fix
that manually. double clicking on the frequency cell reads the radio
immediately and sets the exact frequency. LOGic8 reads QRZ or whatever
logging source you choose from its drop down menu in Setup.
i have my Orions (2 each original Orions) connected directly to the
computer thru the cables that came with the Orions. NO box between radio
and computer for years now. no serial port is necessary. a serial to USB
adapter works just fine.
LOGic8 is slow responding with both radios turned on and being read. i
think that is due to the serial connections. using USB adapters makes no
difference. if one uses 2 Orions a box would be much faster than the
direct connection--specifically a SO2R type box.
