Let me chime in on this.A good friend on mine,AJ5Q(sk) ran a corsair duece 
for many years on cw.Yes his pto finally became wobbly on cw.He was a smoker 
aand a cw op(tune up and down lower 25 constantly).I rebuilt it since he 
didn't want to send it in and be down.I had rebuilt several 
cx-7's..But,after I did this we found that ten-tec would send a re-built 
pto.So we kept a re-build on hand to swap if ever needed.BUT,he ran his for 
10 years and many qso's before a rebuild.Remember,it is a 
PTO.Not,digital...this is to be expected after some time with pto..73 all
