For those recent inquiries, HEIL installs a tantalum cap inside the mic
plug, especially on Icom models, to keep dcv off the audio line. They use
aprox. .22uF/20-22vDC values. This should not be required for Ten-Tec
model transceivers.
YMMV.

Omni VI PLUS still preferred  above the FT-1000MP.
