Jim,
I had a similar problem with my Omni 6 a while back, though it was
on 20 and
80. I checked the schematic and found that 20 and 80 shared a
common
oscillator crystal. I confirmed the diagnosis with the factory,
though I
never got around to fixing it and ended up with a 6+ from the factory
instead
(long story...).
I'd be interested if you get the same thing on 80m...

There was no activity on 80M CW so I didn't check it...
but an interesting thought since the chirp seems to be band specific.
