Greetings all,
Which rigs of the Ten-Tec line are best suited for battery powered
operation? It seems there have been some posts concerning the Scout using
an internal voltage regulator which didn't function properly if the input
voltage dropped very far. Are there any similar "caveats" on other rigs?
Most battery manufacturers specify about a 10.5V cutoff for their "deep
cycle" type batteries. That is obviously too low for communication
applications; what, then, is the realistic minimum voltage that will
still provide proper operation (other than slightly lower output) on most
Ten-Tec rigs?

Al WB5JNC
