Hello Dan,
I am an Omni V owner and dont own a Paragon. I did go back an forth
between which rig to buy when I was shopping. I already have a good SW
radio so the general coverage of the Paragon was not an issue with me.
One of the things that swayed me to the Omni V was the freq display. It
is huge compared to the Paragon. I don't know if you are a ole timer or
a young buck with eyes of an eagle. Omni V is very easy to read.
I also remember something about the "V" having a back up battery that
goes dead and you lose what was loaded into your memories???? I'm not
sure on this but it too didn't matter to me.
I am sure you will be happy with either. If you want/need a general
coverage rig, pick the Paragon. If it don't matter, then think about
what I said abt the displays.
