I don't know this "Jon" person. I do, however, do a fair amount of
trading/selling over the internet, although I've not done any of this
with ten-tec list members. I just like to read about Ten-Tec stuff,
specifically when someone says something nice about the Corsair II (my
rig! ;-) ).
I do know that it's -common- practice that if someone pays you with
a personal check, then they should expect to wait 4-6 weeks for
delivery. I usually ship on receipt of the check, which is considerably
faster than what is common, accepted business practice. A money order
should ship the same day (or within a week) because theoretically,
that's the same as cash.
My suggestion, David, is that since you claim it's been only three
weeks,
and you paid with a personal check, just sit back, grab a cold drink,
and
enjoy the summer for a couple more weeks before getting too bent out of
shape. If after three more weeks you still don't have your stuff- then
contact the police dept. in Jon's area, and your local post office, and
file mail fraud charges, because that's what it is.
