To all reading this: Ten Tec is the only amateur radio manufacturer I am
aware of that has a live body answering the phone. Furthermore, you speak to
a highly competent staff member either in sales or repair.
I have called the "competition" on the west coast (starts with a Y) and what
a cluster (fill in the rest).
I can't comment on the folks at Flex or Elecraft.

Mr. Paul Clinton, I want to thank you for your correct diagnostic of the
arc sound occurring every 5 to 8 minutes. You were the only one with the
correct answer,a bad capacitor on the high voltage board. Some were saying
it was dust, others saying it's insects!!
I received the new circuit board on Thurs. installed it this
afternoon. I took photos as I removed the two upper boards, scratched my
head as to how to remove the upside down mounting screws supporting the
large H.V. board. Upon stepping back, getting the big picture, I realized
the two side brackets come out with the board.
Your company continues to maintain the EXCELLENT reputation of
customer service over the years.
I will be attending the national Papillon specialty dog show held in
Chattanooga Tenn. next April, I look forward to visiting the T-T plant and
