I've tried many communications speakers with a variety of radios over the years, and the Sounds Sweet has ended up my speaker of choice. I wouldn't call it a "revelation", but it is an excellent speaker, much better IMHO than typical OEM external speakers. It is quite large as communications speakers go, however.
