I was having a similar problem with DX4WIN.  The blue screen of death 
referenced a DLL file that I was able to track down to the driver for my 
Byterunner serial card.  I switched to a USB>serial adapter and haven't 
had a problem since then.  Apparently DX4WIN didn't like the driver for 
the Byterunner card.  Could be something similar with Logic.
