Puck,
There may be a diode failure in the RF sensing circuit where it has 
failed shorted.  At least, that is a start.  Then, check for shorts in 
capacitors in that sensing cirucuit, or opens.  Check solder joints, and 
for any resistors that are not at their marked value.
