I bought a Ten Tec supply when I bought my Scout years ago. It was
actually a model PS-11 made by a company named "TPS" in Olather Kansas.
Oddly, I haven't been able to find any information on this company on
the www, though the address and phone number are shown in the owner's
manual.
This supply has been very reliable. It puts out no discernable RF noise
and needs no fan. I also have a Jetstream supply, but it puts out some
squeals on HF, so I only use it with my VHF/UHF FM gear.

I've been using an Alinco DM-330MV for about four years with
three different radios. Can't hear a thing from it on the radio. The fan's
on 100% but you have to press your ear against this PS to hear it.

I have used MFJ switching power supplies at other guys' shacks and at
remote special event stations, and was impressed by the fact the cooling
fans were on all the time, and made a lot of noise. Consequently, I use
large Astron linear supplies for my HF gear, and a 25 amp Astron switching
supply for my UHF/VHF gear. I cannot say which MFJ models were in use -
but none of them impressed me enough to buy one.
I would probably consider a Samlex, Alinco, or Daiwa power supply before
any of the MFJ switching products. I might consider a MFJ linear supply
if I was sure it did not come with a noisy fan problem.
Just MY take... your mileage may differ.
